Steyr SBFA
The Safe Blank Firing Attachment (SBFA) is designed for use with the OEM flash hider as fitted to the Steyr AUG assault rifle.
The SBFA has been designed to allow natural recoil of the rifle when firing blank ammunition.
The key safety feature enables the system to safely ‘retain’ 3 live rounds when inadvertently fired on ‘automatic’.
The SBFA has been designed to allow the blank to make “noise” in order to assist in training and battlefield inoculation.
Extensively tested, the SBFA has successfully and safely retained 3 x L2A2 ball rounds, when on automatic.
The positive locking collar can only be removed by utilising the in-service combination tool from the universal cleaning kit, or any multi tool, thereby ensuring another level of retention security.
